If you are staying for more than the one night you will be looking for local restaurants and you will be in luck. In South Walsahm itself there is a choice of a lovely local country pub that has a great reputation for food. The Ship Inn serves a selection of good English food in its beautiful restaurant area. If you fancy something a little more exotic then there is the local Chinese restaurant, again only a short walk through the picturesque village from the Oak Farm Bed and Breakfast. There is a lovely selection of Chinese and Cantonese cuisine in a warm and friendly restaurant.
If you try all the great food in the area you will have to stay at the Oak Farm for longer that a couple of days. There is a third option in South Walsham itself which is the Maltings public house, a lovely little place to stop in for a bite to eat. Still if you fancy a trip a little further then less than ten minutes down the road is Acle were there is a selection of pubs and restaurants to visit.
The Hermitage is one of the best fish restaurants on the Norfolk Broads, serving fresh fish in its small light and airy restaurant on the edge of Acle. As well as the Hermitage there is the Kings Head public house and Grumpys restaurant. The Cellar Restaurant and the Coffee Shop both offer a great lunch time experience.
Just down the road we also have the home of the Woodfords Brewery, the Fur and Feathers. This idyllic country pub serves Woodfords Real Ales, the likes of Rib Cracker and Nelsons Revenge taste so much better within site of the Brewery in the heart of the Norfolk country side. Brewery tours are available, the perfect appetizer before a couple swift halves and a bite to eat in the Fur and Feathers restaurant.
Norfolk and the Norfolk Broads has many breweries to visit and a plethora or great restaurants so time to give your taste buds a treat as you have a rest at the Oak Farm Bed and Breakfast.
